On Sept. 7, International Manatee Day, Mote cut the ribbon to our newly renovated Manatee County Manatee Habitat.
Our renovated manatee habitat features a new and updated look with a brand new kid-friendly play space! There, kids can play on our model airplane and Mote research vessel (aptly named the the R/V Manatee County) and imagine themselves as Mote scientists conducting manatee research surveys.
This renovation was made possible by, and is in recognition of, the growing and strengthening partnership between Mote and Manatee County.
